PRE-ARGUS TRAINING & SIGHT-SEEING

This Cycle tour is designed to cover cycling and touring in the Cape Town area ending with the biggest individually timed ride in the world. Each day we depart our Cape Town hotel and do a days cycling within an hour of the city taking in the mountainous scenic coastal routes as well as some of the actual Argus Pick & Pay cycle route.

Visiting the cycle Expo for registration is compulsory and it's a thrill to mingle with so many (40 000) like minded souls. No hype can prepare one for the electric atmosphere at the start of the race which lasts from 6h30 until 10h00 or for the finish which is a festival of cycling achievement.

The energy on the ride itself is massive along the entire route, as Capetonians take to the streets to cheer and encourage until the very last cyclist fades over the hill. The tour is suited to any cycling ability.
