Daytrippers - The Bicycle People - have steadily grown since 1992, into one of the leading alternative and adventure touring companies in the Western Cape. Our trips are a far cry from your average mainstream bus tour in that we aim to keep our travellers out of the bus as much as possible, with activities such as hiking, biking, cruising, picnicking & swimming available on many of our tours.

We run scheduled daytrips to the Cape Peninsula, the Winelands, the Townships and Hermanus for the best land-based Whale watching in the world. We make it our business to ensure that our guests have a day to remember, with expert guidance; healthy, homemade picnics prepared by our own catering team and plenty of the personal touch . We also run pure adventure trips. These include, mountain biking & Table Mountain hikes.

Our speciality is obviously bicycling and with over 200 bicycles and a range of custom-built bicycle trailers in our fleet, we are able to deal with groups of all sizes and can offer anything from a mellow 1/2 hour cycle in the winelands or Cape Point to a vigorous 3- hour off-road cycle in Grabouw Forest to a 2-week cycle from PE to Cape Town. Or even from The Castle Of Good Hope in Cape Town to the Banner Of Good Hope in Soweto! You name it, We'll make it happen - a treasure hunt on bicycles; a 3-day challenge in the Cedarberg Mountains; a mountain biking, 4x4- ing , hiking combo; Table Mountain hike & bike - whatever!
